One For The Tree Huggers
The Enchanted Forest 2006 Tickets are on sale now. I’ve been meaning to go to this for a couple of years now but never got round to checking for tickets before it was too late and they sold out.
This year I’ll be there!
Also worth a look at the Outdoor Diary for outdoors-y things in Edinburgh [...]

Osmosis
I am currently in my new (rented) flat in Morningside, and I find myself the only native English speaker amongst eight of us.
Kasia (moje Kasiu!) has her family visiting us for Easter – it’s a kind of big time in the RC calendar!. This takes the total number of native Polish speakers in this house [...]

Bloody Dentists…. Redux
I came in for a bit of criticism for my comments about dentists last week. I don’t take back what I said about the missed appointment charges – I still think ВЈ30 is OTT. I do, however, want to add some praise for my dentist.

Shameless Self-Interested Post.
Most of you can ignore this, but if you happen to know someone offering a 2 double bedroom flat in Edinburgh (preferably near Tolcross, or anywhere on the numbers 10, 16, or 45 buses) which is available towards the start of April (better early than late!) for 2 late-20’s, non-smoking, professional and all very sensible [...]

What a Wheeze (or any of a number of smoking related puns).
So, the national Parliament have followed the Scottish lead and voted through a ban on smoking in enclosed public places.
I’m not surprised, when you follow the trend around the world – USA, Australia, Ireland… – a ban of some shape or form on smoking is inevitable.
I started smoking when I was in my mid teens, [...]

Quiet Time
Yes. Blogging is definitely one of those cyclical things in life. There are busy times and there are quiet times.
I can justify this current quiet time by saying that I have been very busy at work at the moment as we launch a new project into the big bad world of employability in Edinburgh. I [...]
