My Tory Credentials

In response to a recent post, Croila wrote that she felt I was right to challenge my Tory credentials. This is something that came up at the recent Blogmeet too. I often find myself defending the fact that I’m a Tory.
Often after making these defences, I find myself questioning it myself. Sometimes the arguments against [...]

Shameless Self-Interested Post.

Most of you can ignore this, but if you happen to know someone offering a 2 double bedroom flat in Edinburgh (preferably near Tolcross, or anywhere on the numbers 10, 16, or 45 buses) which is available towards the start of April (better early than late!) for 2 late-20’s, non-smoking, professional and all very sensible [...]

….And Another Thing

Bloody Dentists!
I know a couple of dentists (well in fact they are more of a dentist couple, actually, but that’s by-the-by), and I know that they live in a big house, and have a big car, and have a fabulous holiday at least once a season. I don’t think it’s outwith reason to think that [...]

Catching Up

As promised in an earlier post, a roundup of what i’ve been up to.

Blogmeet (all the good puns are taken so I decided not to try!)

What with all this re-jigging of the blog, I haven’t had a chance to tell you how the Edinburgh Blogmeet was on Saturday.

Blogbreaking….

Oops. Again.
I just cant leave things alone. Following a discussion at Saturday’s blogmeet in Edinburgh (which I have yet to blog about….), I decided to move from blogger to Wordpress. I have nothing against blogger, they have served me well and been fairly simple to use, but I find myself wanting more and more and [...]

Teflon Don, All Gone

As predicted by The Basa at EdinburghSucks.com and now reported by the BBC, Teflon Don Anderson is quitting as leader of the Council in Edinburgh.
About bloody time! After a year which saw the botched vote on congestion charging in which the council got thumped, and then the ensuing chaos which the council unleashed on the [...]

Romantic Young Couple Take Baby for a Ride

A young pair of Aberdonian NEDS have been aggressive and abusive towards a bus driver.
BBC have the full, less than scintillating story here.
One part of interest was the comical description of the couple:
“The male youth was described as aged 17-18, 5ft 11in, skinny, clean shaven, with a spotty complexion, wearing a light-coloured baseball cap [...]
