Return to Normality

Thank God!
After dreadlocked and dead-locked protesters, riots, nearly-riots, bus strikes, international terrorism, broken bicycles, and all the rest of it…
What a relief to look forward to the relative normality of the world’s biggest arts festival.

Thankfully, The Scotsman is on hand as always to show us the way around all the festivals this summer (that’s [...]

Another Facelift.

It wasn’t a good sign that I was growing tired of the ‘new look’ already. Its minimalist lines wore thin quickly. Added to that, I’m not a fan of seriff fonts.
So here’s another little change.

Cycle the Nation – done!

A big “Well Done” to Steve and John who have now finished their gruelling nine-day-1000-mile trek round the capital cities of these Isles. (That’s more miles and fewer days than the Tour-de-France… ‘livestrong’? Pah… these guys cycle strong!

What annoys [...]

Difficult Job

I don’t know how many people check out the blogroll (the links to the right of the main page). You should – there are some really good blogs linked to there.
One particular highlight is Tom Reynold’s Random Acts of Reality. He’s an EMT working for the London Ambulance Service. His blog tells us some of [...]

New Designs All Round

There was me, feeling all proud of myself for managing to shift my customisations from one blogger template to another without too much of a glitch….
When, as if to put me to shame, the next Tory PM to-be goes and gets himself a new design. With a ‘ruffled but determined’ masthead picture, and a cool-summer-blue [...]
